Instructions
Once the demonstration has loaded you will see an Aura™ display in front of
you. The sound clip will start playing automatically and continuously loop while the demo
is running. The music that you first hear is the pickup only. This is represented in the
green status bar at the top of the Aura.
To listen to the sound of the guitar playing with the Aura effect enabled,
click the Effect On/Off button (under the Fishman logo). You will see a green
light above the button glowing and instantly hear what makes this product amazing.
The demo has four separate sound images to listen and compare to. To change
the image selection, simple press the Up or Down button located near the bottom
right of the panel. The LED display will indicate which image you have selected and the
status panel above will provide some detail as well. At any time you can hit
the Effect On/Off button and compare the pickup sound to the sound images in the Aura™.
One final feature of the demo is the ability to mute the music playing.
Please note that this will not stop the music, only mute it. When the mute is turned off
the music will resume as if it never stopped.
Guitar & Demo Information
To record this demonstration we used ProTools|HD® software and hardware. The guitar used to record this demonstration was a Martin® SPJC-16RE using
the following sound images:
- P1 was recorded using the MSPJC16RE147FPP2 sound image. This sound image was created using a Martin® SPJC-16RE, Neumann® M147 microphone, and a Fishman Prefix Premium™.
- P2 was recorded using the MSPJC16RE4011FPP sound image. This sound image was created using a Martin® SPJC-16RE, DPA® 4011 microphone, and a Fishman Prefix Premium™.
- P3 was recorded using the MSPJC16RE64GPP2 sound image. This sound image was created using a Martin® SPJC-16RE, Schoeps® CMC64G microphone, and a Fishman Prefix Premium™.
- P4 was recorded using the MSPJC16REE47FPP1 sound image. This sound image was created using a Martin® SPJC-16RE, Soundelux® E47 microphone, and a Fishman Prefix Premium™.
To produce this demonstration we used four Aura Acoustic Imaging™ Blenders
which were fed directly into the ProTools® interface. The flat pickup was also fed directly
into the ProTools® interface.
The Aura's had the images shown above loaded into the units. By splitting the signal at
the cable into each Aura we were able to record each Aura and the pickup separately and in perfect
time-sync with each other. The demonstration above plays each of these tracks in time sync, muting
the unselected tracks.
Credits
The guitar playing in this demonstration was done by our very own Scott McCutcheon. If you have called
our support department in the past year, you were most likely helped by Scott.
